Arising from the ashes in 2016, it’s fair to say there’s undoubtable energy from the Essex trio False Heads. Swimming in a pool of metal and alternative punk vibes, the band showcase that rock and roll is nowhere near done with just yet. With a comfortable back catalogue of musical goodness and thousands of streams, the band are really shooting for the stars.
Back with their first single since the ‘Less Is Better’ EP, ‘Slease‘ really hits us like a sucker punch. Filled with metal influences and a driven chugging bass, it deals with a powerful subject. Stuck in a terrible mental state, you always get people trying to get involved whether that being you want them to or not. The song is really about understanding yourself and trying to accept the state you’re in.
With captivating punk grunts and echoes of a balanced mix, the arrangement is complimented by the scary like guitar solo towards the end. Short but sweet, the 3:14 song has hidden compartments that will leave you gobsmacked from it’s excellence. Previous releases from the band have been just as loud and even more political, but Slease really shows the band at a whole new level.
Explosive and adrenaline pumped, this is going to be a hit track for all the mosher’s at live gigs, gearing up for the pit. Being the first single taken off their upcoming album, my goodness if the album is anything like this single, we’re in for a fantastic time. Available to stream now, we’ll see you in the pit of sweat, punk and attitude.
