Alien Feelings – Bondage & Lipstick

Wrexham based quartet Alien Feelings unveil their debut release Bondage & Lipstick. A nostalgic presence that resonates prominently with the sound of the 90s, the debut EP feels youthful and armed with relevance.

Good Looking’ rocks up and doesn’t disappoint. A track not for the faint hearted, it’s loud, aggressive and refuses to be left on the back burner. Upbeat and bouncy, the energy within ‘Good Looking’ is reassured with singalong choruses to get you in the mood for good times ahead.

Scream’ if you want to play louder. A track that features well-received vocals, punk-like guitar tones and heavy adrenaline, warm those vocal cords up and sing ‘Scream’ at the top of your lungs.

Lie to Me’ still features the iconic lively sound of Alien Feelings but has more dynamics to it’s bow. Building into something quite special, the pulsating bass line in this one jives with vibrance. One thing to be said is that the Alien Feelings definitely have their own formula when it comes to writing songs. If it’s got a sing-along chorus with a repetitive nature, it’s destined to be something from Alien Feelings.

EP closer ‘Town That Made Me’ isn’t as in your face as the other tracks, leaving listeners slightly speechless. Indie rock doesn’t know what’s hit it with this good old fashioned rock and roll quartet.  Memorable and giving listeners a refreshing new meaning to Wrexham’s music scene, Alien Feelings are loveable.
