An Evening with Alan Mcgee and Interview with The Jade Assembly

An evening with Alan McGee is the outspoken, maverick genius behind the mighty Creation Records and has worked with some of the most significant bands of the last 30 years including Oasis, Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine, the Jesus and Mary Chain and The Libertines to name but a few.

He held his “Evening with Alan Mcgee” event this past Friday down at Manchester venue The Bread Shed. It was a really insightful look into his world and told many stories of his life behind the scenes of a Rock n roll manager and label owner.

You can catch him on his UK tour HERE, its highly recommended.

I got to ask him a question during the Q+A that I wanted to share with you. I asked “As RGM is part of the music press what more can we do to support grass roots music?”

Alan gave a great reply “Embrace the new crop of rock n roll stars”

We are going to do exactly that!

We have been aware of the good work Bolton band The Jade assembly do and they played their their part on the night performing live after the session. We talk the new album, delve into their lives on tour and tell some great stories. Take a look.
