Ethan & The Reformation – Wild Minded Woman

Rock and roll done right will have a sexy swagger, fat guitar chords, stomping bass and foot tapping action. Wild Minded Woman, a new release by Manchester rockers Ethan & The Reformation, ticks all those boxes.

It’s everything you can expect from a classic rock track, gritty vocals, ZZ-Top instrumentation, references to women, the genre itself and trains. It has an uplifting vibe, these guys want to have a good time and I don’t blame them.

However, this isn’t just an everyday rock track, as a sweet sax grabs hold of the throttle and drives the music in naughty ways that feel like the sax has sneaked onto the track and is saying: ‘hey look at me, I’m here to stay and you’re going to like it’.

The drums and bass set the pace and the guitars are fighting the vocals to be the cool and most memorable part of the track. If you enjoy 60s and 70s rock and the endless names that could be pulled from a time when guitars ruled the earth, then you can add Ethan & The Reformation to that list and kick back with a cold brewski at this rock and roll hootenanny.
