“Daydreams” is the spacious new single from Northern Virginia based outfit Liminal Age. By spacious we mean, you can stick this track on some speakers at one end of a big hall and still be moved from it’s impactful production. Authentic and using layers of lo-fi elements with the track, ‘Daydreams’ is the perfect title to this ethereal production.
If your brain had a soundtrack when you stare into space and think about simpler times, it would be this track on repeat. Coated with an electronic, upbeat sound, the distinguished guitar line is best described as independent and doing it’s own thing. If anything, the guitar feels a bit too loud in parts and could do with coming down slightly to bring out other elements of the mix.
Giving the track a sort of shoegaze vibe to it’s memorable dream-pop arrangement, ‘Daydreams‘ is especially hazy and refreshing. Glistening with colour out of every crack, the one thing I could say to really empathise on the arrangement is to polish the mix a tiny bit more. Nevertheless, the overall sound is definitely lo-fi because of its imperfections, but as they same sometimes… imperfections make perfections, and that’s certainly the case with this track.
