Sack it off here is the jist. The latest completed transfers, big-money moves as well as transfer rumours that are likely to be completed before the day is out.
JUST ANNOUNCED PETER CROUCH HAS MOVED TO BURNLEY
Higuain to Chelsea
One of the most talked about transfers in this window was Higuain to Chelsea. The Argentinian forward has joined Chelsea on loan for the remainder of the season. He spent the first half of the season at Serie A club AC Milan where he scored 6 goals in 15 league appearances. Recently, he made his debut for Chelsea against Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup and put on a good performance. Once settled at Chelsea, he’s guaranteed to be an excellent replacement for Morata if the transfer to Atletico goes ahead.
Jermain Defoe to Rangers
Jermain Defoe has secured his move to the Scottish Premier League and signed an 18-month contract with Rangers. Defoe struggled to get into the team at Bournemouth, therefore, a move to Rangers will be beneficial for his career. So far he’s played two games in the league for Rangers and scored 1 goal which he netted on his debut for the club.
Christian Pulisic to Chelsea
At the start of the transfer window, Christian Pulisic joined Chelsea in a move worth around 57 million from Borussia Dortmund. Pulisic will spend the of the rest of the 2018/19 with Dortmund and then join Chelsea. The 20-year-old midfielder has found it difficult to get into the Dortmund first team competing with Jadon Sancho for a place in the starting lineup.
Gary Madine to Sheffield United
Earlier in the transfer window, Gary Madine signed for Sheffield United on loan for the remainder of the season. Unsurprisingly, this signing proved to be quite controversial as Madine is an ex-Sheffield Wednesday player. Furthermore he has previously insulted Sheffield United captain, Billy Sharp. Madine had a good first half of the season at Bolton in 2017/18 scoring 10 goals in 29 games but his form has since dipped at Cardiff. With the work ethic that Chris Wilder asserts into his team, Madine should soon find his form and deliver some excellent performances for Sheffield United.
John Obi Mikel to Middlesborough
Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel has completed a move to Middlesborough from Chinese club Tianjin Teda for an undisclosed fee. The Nigerian international has an impressive record at Chelsea with over 450 appearances as well as winning numerous trophies. He’s won the champions league, The Premier League (twice), The FA Cup(4 times) and the Europa League. This signing will help strengthen the Middlesborough team in their bid to secure promotion this season.
Arsenal looking to sign Ivan Perisic
So far, Arsenal have not brought anyone to the club in the window. However, a move for the Inter Milan winger and Croatian international Ivan Perisic is looking likely as he recently handed in a transfer request at Inter Milan. Although an offer from Arsenal was rejected by Inter Milan, they probably won’t give up on this ideal target. The world cup finalist has the experience and the goal-threat that Unai Emery will be looking to add to his team. Could we see this move happen in the next couple of days?
Callum Hudson-Odoi will be staying at Chelsea
A move for Callum Hudson-Odoi to Bayern Munich was looking highly likely with offers estimated to be around 35 million. Hudson-Odoi had put in a transfer request but ended up playing against Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup. He also managed to get in the scoresheet in this match. Chelsea have now turned down his transfer request as he is doing very well at the club and could become a key player.
Manchester United in talks with Chinese club over the transfer of Fellaini
It is understood that Manchester United have been in talks with a Chinese club regarding a transfer for Marouane Fellaini. Fellaini joined Manchester United in 2013 from Everton and has had over 150 appearances for the club. The 31-year-old Midfielder has been an important player for Manchester United. However, he could now be about to sign a permanent contract at another club.
